Yrjö Nuevo, executive vice president and chief technology officer for Nokia Mobile Phones, has concerns over battery life for the new phone technology beyond 2004. Phones are transforming into handheld communication/entertainment centers. The new gadgets have multimedia processors, color displays, camera attachments, GPS (global position systems), highly advanced analog processors, antennas and RF receivers - all of which require power and more power.
